Saturday 8th September 2007 from 9.30am to 5.00pm
1 day Introduction to Cold Porcelain Flowers
Come and learn top tips on how to work with cold porcelain. From how to make your own porcelain, to forming, colouring and creating beautiful flowers in your own style.
Venue: Ardgye House, Alves, Forres, Moray, IV30 8UP www.ardgyehouse.com
Emphasis for this workshop is placed on achieving an overall natural impression of the flowers with regard to their shape and colour rather than anatomical correctness of each individual flower. This course will suit those of you with some basic knowledge of sugar flowers or cold porcelain and the more experienced, each able to work to your own degree of crafting ability without pressure! Once you have gained the knowledge of how to get the best from your porcelain, then you can achieve the detail with practice.
Flowers included in the final arrangement will be Handel roses, buds and leaves, thistles, honeysuckle buds and foliage, jasmine, berries and lace hydrangea. These flowers will demonstrate different techniques..
The workshop is relaxed but structured in order to make the best use of the time available. At the end of the day, you will leave with a finished project – an example of the flowers to be made will be available to see at the beginning of the workshop to give you an idea of what you are aiming at.
